Stained glass is a fun, engaging art form that can be used to create everything from windows to sculptural forms. In this 5-week course, you'll create a colorful window panel (approximately 8"x12 or 4"x20") as you learn how to plan a project, cut & grind glass, foil & solder your glass, plus how to finish off your piece. By the end of the course, you will have a beautiful stained glass window hanging to take home! WHAT TO WEAR You should be prepared to be in a workshop environment, which can be messy. We recommend wearing comfy clothes that can get dirty. Depending on the class, you may also be required to wear specific safety gear that we provide. ATTENDANCE It's important that you attend each class since they build off what you learned & practiced in the previous class. If you do have to miss a class, you may be able to schedule a make-up session with the instructor, depending on availability (not always possible). Make-up sessions are $35 each and you arrange make-up sessions directly with your instructor. SAFETY GUIDELINES Materials & equipment used in classes can be hazardous if not handled correctly and we expect all class participants to follow studio safety guidelines. Due to lead content in solder, we don't recommend that expecting mothers participate in this workshop. AGE GUIDELINES These classes are open to adults ages 16 and older. Students ages 14 or 15 may register with a parent or another adult relative.
